George Eugene BARDEN1929 - 2001George Eugene Barden, a lifetime resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in Thunder Bay Regional Hospital - General, on Thursday, September 20, 2001. George was employed at the Port Arthur General Hospital for thirty-six years, serving most of that time as Director of Building and Maintenance. He was fortunate to have enjoyed twelve happy years of retirement.George will be remembered by family and friends for his generosity, kindness and humour. He will be sadly missed by his wife Helen, daughter Barbara Gauthier, son-in-law Rick, and many devoted friends.Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street. If friends so desire, donations to George's favourite charity, the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. 'All our love and thanks to family and friends for their ongoing support. '"
