Gerald Guitard Obituary
GUITARDIt is with saddened hearts that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of their beloved husband, father, son and friend, Gerald "Gerry" Guitard, on Saturday September 15th, 2007. Gerry was born in Port Arthur on September 11th, 1965 and raised in Beardmore, Ontario. As he grew, his fondness for the outdoors flourished. He enjoyed fishing, ski-dooing and camping. Eventually Gerry moved to Thunder Bay were he worked as a mechanic for Arnones. Later he would soon meet his best friend and future wife Carrie. Together they enjoyed camping and fishing. Gerry worked at various jobs through the years to make life better for them. The family soon grew and they welcomed two beautiful sons into their lives. Gerry enjoyed the time he spent teaching his sons to fish, ride bikes and be the wonderful boys they are today. Gerry was later back at school and soon would be employed at Ontario Power Generation were he enjoyed working. When Gerry had an idea about something he wanted to fix or improve upon his determination was unstoppable. Gerry was also an avid Nascar Fan. Gerry will be sadly missed by his loving wife Carrie, sons Blake and Adam, his mother Monique and his grandparents Cecil and Ovila. Also by many of his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and by all who have met him through the years. Gerry was predeceased by his father Gerald and his father in-law Cliff and his sister Laurie. As per Gerry's wishes cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Thursday September 20th, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the HARBOURVIEW FUNERAL CENTRE, 499 North Cumberland Street. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated."
