GERALD EDWARD HILL 1949 - 2025
Gerald "Gerry" Edward Hill, age 76, of Thunder Bay, passed away on September 26, 2025.
Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Gerry dedicated his life to hard work, spending many years at the grain elevator. He was happiest outdoors, working on projects, lending a hand, and making time for the people who mattered most. Gerry was a steady, loyal presence in the lives of those he loved someone who always showed up, cheered the loudest, and stood firmly in your corner when it mattered most. He found joy in watching his grandchildren play sports, attending their milestones, and sharing in the simple, everyday moments that made life special.
As a grandfather and great-grandfather, Gerry was his grandchildren's biggest fan. He didn't just watch from the sidelines he joined their adventures, raced around the field, and celebrated every achievement, big or small. His pride in his family was unmistakable. Gerry also found peace in the simple pleasures of life driving his golf cart around the property, or sitting by the falls to enjoy the sounds of nature, often taking a quiet swim.
As per Gerry's wishes, no funeral will be held. Family and friends are encouraged to take a peaceful moment outdoors in his memory to breathe in the fresh air, listen to the quiet, and remember him in the spaces he loved most. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
