It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Whittaker on October 18, 2021 at the age of 91. Jerry was born in Port Arthur on April 24, 1930. He was predeceased by his parents, Gladys (Mick) and Frank Whittaker. Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years Anne, his children Gerald (Christine) Whittaker, Linda Andrews, Lois Tilson and Neil Whittaker, and grandsons Jamie (Sabine), Kyle (Brandi) Josh (Serena), and Lucas. He will be forever missed by his family. Jerry was a teacher at Hammarskjold High School, and retired after 25 years of service. Dad pursued his passion for curling in the winter, and enjoyed many summers at camp with his family. Cremation has taken place and a family service and burial will be held at a later date.

Mr. Whittaker was a wonderful teacher. He mentored me the first year I had him. He was helpful, kind and very Patient. As our paths crossed over the years he always had a smile and a kind word to say. My condolences to his family and all that loved him.
