Glenice Quesnelle Obituary

December 4, 1938 – February 17, 2023

We are sad to announce the passing of our beautiful and brave Glenice Anne Quesnelle (nee Osmar). She slipped away peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospice on Friday, February 17, 2023.

Glenice was 84 years of age and battled cancer for the past 37 years, providing hope and support to all those dealing with the disease. Glenice Anne took great pride and joy in organizing her annual Cancer Fund Raising event each year.

Glenice Anne is survived by her husband Ron Quesnelle, daughter Marie Thiboutot, son Maurice Jr Thiboutot; grandsons Zachariah Thiboutot and MacKenzie Thiboutot and granddaughters Sarah Thiboutot, Miera Thiboutot and
Michyla Vig.

She was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth (Bessie) Osmar (nee Gagnon), father George Osmar, brothers Norman, Harold, Marvin, and Maurice (Nipper) and sisters Charlene and Audrey.

We invite all friends and family to join us on Saturday, March 4, 2023 10:30 am at Saint Agnes Church, 1019 Brown St, Thunder Bay for her Celebration of Life. Lunch will be provided in the hall at the church after Mass. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Andrew's Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.

Should friends so desire, donations made in her memory to Thunder Bay Cancer Clinic (payable to TBRHSF) would be greatly appreciated.

Glenice wished to share the following words of love with you all, God Bless.

SHE IS GONE

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want -
Smile, Open Your Eyes, Love and Go On.

My deepest sympathy to family and friends in the loss of one of the greatest women I've known. Glenice was always positive, supporting, generous of her love and time and always ready with a hug. She was a wonderful inspiration to all she met. I was blessed to have spent time with her in church and honored to be invited to her cancer fundraisers. She will be greatly missed.

My Deepest Sympathy to Glenice´s Family. May treasured memories & the support of Family & Friends help the Family get through this difficult time. I first met Glenice when I joined a club she was in and have fond memories of the time we roomed together on a trip to Duluth as well as other times we spent together. Her perseverance and spunk in living her life to the fullest while battling her disease for many years is definitely something that will live on in the hearts of many. Again my Deepest Sympathy ~ Janice McCoy ~
