GORDON VERGE Obituary
E 1934 ~ 2026
Another Tennis Star has passed away at the age of 91. Gordon Verge passed away at Nanaimo Hospital after a brief illness.
In Thunder Bay Dad ran the Spectacle Shoppe and Shorney's Optical and also did restringing of tennis rackets. Upon retiring Gord and wife Elaine moved to Parksville, BC and started playing tennis again and made lots of new friends in the process. His tennis took him all over at ITF Tournaments including ones in Croatia, Turkey and Austrailia.
Predeceased by wife Elaine, father and mother Charles & Jean Verge, father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles & Bert Holtd. Survived by sons Scott (Janet) and Glenn (Julie).
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charity of Your Choice.
So raise your tennis racket or your favorite bevvy in his memory.
