GRANT McINTOSH Obituary
GRANT STEPHAN McINTOSH September 10, 1952 ~ October 14, 2025 Grant Stephen McIntosh, 73, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away on November 14, 2025. Born on September 10, 1952, in Thunder Bay, Grant was raised in a close-knit family and remained deeply connected to his hometown throughout his life.
Grant was the son of the late Lyndon and Florence McIntosh and was preceded in death by his brothers Lyndon and Craig. He is survived by his brother Dwight; his children Amber (Bryan), Jasmine (Graham), and Jesse (Greg); and his cherished grandchildren Ozzy, Bethany, Isabelle, and Jackson, who brought him endless joy.
A hardworking longshoreman by trade, Grant was known for his dedication, grit, and unmistakable presence on the docks. Outside of work, he lived fully in the things he loved most: the beat of a drum, the roar of a race car, and the laughter of his family. A talented drummer and an avid race car enthusiast, Grant found joy in music, speed, and the community that came with both.
Above all, Grant loved his children fiercely. He took pride in who they became and held each of them close to his heart.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to share in his stories, his laughter, and his unapologetically authentic spirit.
The family will be holding a celebration of life on Friday November 28th from 2-5pm at the Oliver Road Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Thunder Bay in Grant's honor.
