GRANT WILKIE Obituary

It is with immense sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Grant Wilkie, aged 64 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Grant was born in Dundee, Scotland on September 7, 1960 to James (Jim) and Jean Wilkie (nee Hutchison) and he was called to Heaven to join them again on March 10, 2025. He was employed by various vehicle dealerships over the years. Grant loved the outdoors and he spent his summers fishing. Camp was his happy place. His face lit up every time he took his daughter and grandchildren fishing and they reached their limit within half an hour. His humour will forever be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He had a joke for everything often lifting our spirits when we needed it most. Grant loved animals and he rescued every kitten his daughter Shainah asked him to. He is now at peace with his kitty's Smokey, Patch and Yoshi.

Grant is survived by his only daughter Shainah (James) and grandchildren Devon (Nikki), Berlynn, Jaymesin and Kenndrick as well as Creedence who hasn't made his arrival into the world yet. "Ney" will miss you being the calm to her chaos and your advice as well as listening to music and going for drives. Devon will miss the movie and dinner dates and Berlynn wants to give her Papa a BIG hug. Grant shared a special bond with the mother of his daughter, Pam Tabachak and we will miss all of the holidays spent together. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Jean Wilkie and long term partner Rhonda Woodbeck.

" and while you're sleeping, I'll try to make you proud so Daddy won't you just close your eyes but don't be afraid cause it's my turn to chase the monsters away…"
