Mrs. Hazel Lang (Pepper), age 91, resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario passed away peacefully at TBRHSC with her family by her side on March 12, 2026. Born December 26,1934 in Brandon, Manitoba she was raised in Geraldton, Ontario and attended Xray Technician school at the Port Arthur General Hospital. She held jobs as an Xray Tech, Dr's Office Admin and lastly as a CSR Tech in Terrace Bay before retiring in 1999. In her youth, she was a speed skater and an accomplished singer. In Terrace Bay she was very involved in the Community Church, Girl Guides and any activity her children were involved in.
Hazel is survived by her son Bruce Lang (Elizabeth), and grandchildren Alex, Eric and Heather; daughter Kathryn Hughes, grandchildren Evan (Jessie), and Jack (Jordyn), great-grandsons Eli and Oliver, and a number of nieces and nephews. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Jack, her parents, her two fabulous Pepper sisters Margaret Cochrane (Bob) and Madeline McKay (Harold), and her son-in-law Gordon Hughes.
A graveside interment service will be held in Terrace Bay at a later date. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or McCausland Hospital Terrace Bay.
