Five years have passed since you were taken away. But years don't erase the loneliness that relentlessly lives on and always will, no matter how much time goes by. Yet I still walk around our house and yard aimlessly searching for something to occupy myself but find it difficult because there's still no future in anything I do. Even after all these years, when I walk by the kitchen doorway, I can almost see a vision of you standing by the sink washing dishes, looking back at me with a smile. But reality sets in, and it was only wishful thoughts from the past. However, each year that passes gets us closer to being together again.
