HELEN RAHMER Obituary

(née Nadeau) 1951 ~ 2025
With sadness, the family of Helen Rahmer announces her peaceful passing on May 17, 2025 at the TBRHSC, at the age of 73.

Born in Sudbury, Helen moved to Fort William with her family in 1966. She attended St. Peter's School and Selkirk High School.

Helen was a devoted house wife and foster parent with Dilico, opening her home to many children and leaving a lasting impact on their lives. She had a natural gift for caring, not just for those placed in her care, but for anyone who needed support. Whether family, friend, or stranger, Helen was always ready to step in and help. Her favourite pastimes included bowling, baseball and fishing at the lake.

Helen is survived by her husband Floyd; children Sundin, Jared, Nikotah, and Kyler; sisters Adrienne (Ron), Diane, Jackie (Mike) and Louise as well as many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Germaine and Adrien Nadeau; brothers Armand and Richard; parents-in-law Tom and Jane Craig and brothers-in-law Winston (Barb), John and Larry.

Funeral Services for Helen will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home with Deacon Pasquale Coccimiglio officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home.

Helen will be remembered always for her warmth, humour and generous spirit.

Sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors of 1A at the TBRHSC for their care and compassion.
