Ilona Wickstrom Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ilona Helmi Wickstrom. Daughter of Pearl and Dennis Wickstrom, step-mom Beth, Sister of Ray Wickstrom. Mother of sons Jersey Little and Houston Wickstrom and grandmother to her four grandbabies - Jersey's children. Born in Thunder Bay Ontario on January 20 1975 and passing peacefully on September 9 2021 while comforted by family, doctors and nurses of the Cranbrook Regional Hospital. Ilona left many friends and family behind and was predeceased by many friends and loved ones that she lost over these last two years. Although struggling herself Ilona opened her heart and home to many of these individuals in their time of need. Caring and giving and making a difference in the lives that she touched. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to you can make a donation to the Salvation Army.

My niece Ilona is very special. It broke our hearts to lose her. She's gone too soon but the memories of Ilona will always be in our hearts. My recent happy memory of Ilona is I was talking to her on the phone and we talked about many happy memories from the past and we were laughing so hard we were crying. My heart goes out to my sister Pearl, Ilona's brother Ray, Ilona's boys Jersey and Houston and her grandchildren. My condolences go out to all of Ilona's family and friends.

As Childhood friends we had a lot of fun adventures together, I especially remember all the forts we planned and built together in our back yards. So sad to hear of your passing. Prayers for your family ❤
