April 16, 2013 ~ September 14, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved son, grandson and brother, Jacob Robert Stirling Wright, age 12 years, unexpectedly on Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Jacob was born in Thunder Bay on April 16, 2013 to Wayne Wright and Sarah Airns. He attended St. Vincent School from kindergarten to grade 6, graduating in June of 2025, and he was cherished and loved by all while there. Jacob recently started attending Pope John Paul II School and would come home daily excited to tell us about his new friends and great staff.
Jacob would light up any room he walked into. He had a love for all things with an engine and had dreams of being a pilot. Jacob enjoyed his video games, nerf guns and RC vehicles, camp fires, and hikes. He also loved riding bikes, playing soccer and basketball or just hanging out with friends. He had a quick wit and loved to debate which paired perfectly with his smirk, knowing he was right. He had a protective and kind nature to all he loved and cared about.
Jacob, you have been our greatest joy, and your loss our greatest pain. Loved forever and never forgotten.
Jacob will be greatly missed by his father Wayne Wright and mother Corrie Murray; siblings Jayden Black, Alyssa Black and Allison Wright; Grandparents Brenda and Richard Wright, Cecilia Airns and Ted Mroz, and great-grandfather Gordon Frost; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mommy, Sarah Airns; his grandfathers, Robert Airns and Malcolm Murray, and his great-grandmothers Mirja Frost and June Gill.
Funeral Services in Jacob's Honour will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 1:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
Should friends so desire, donations can be made directly to the family in memory of Jacob.
