JACQUELINE 'JAKE' A. POTHAKOS On Tuesday, January 6th, 2004, Jake said goodbye, surrounded by her loving family. Living life to the fullest, Jake's family was most important. She was fiery, fiercely independent, and was the strength of the family.Jake was a manager at Sears Warehouse, and was employed at Sears for 28 years. After retiring from Sears, her artistic flare led her to open 'The Picture Store' (County Fair) which she ran as a very successful business for 7 years. She was predeceased by her husband Sam Pothakos (1995), who is also sadly missed; her uncle Peter Prontak, Jack and Mary Schoales. In addition to her family, Jake loved to travel, and spend time in the desert. She devoted her life to her soul mate Gordon Attridge, children Rynel (Diane) of Saskatoon, Roxane (Frank) and Lisa (Darrel). Grama Spice will be sadly missed by grandchildren Madison Chamberlain, Felixe, Sydney, Paige, Zoe, her furry companion Kobe, along with her many friends. Survived by her brother Clyde Schoales and family, sister-in-law Josephine Cheppenko, niece Pearl Landry and brother-in-law Tony Pothakos.In accordance with Jake's wishes there will be no service. Following cremation, a small family gathering will Celebrate Jake's life. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Jake's memory to the Thunder Bay District Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street.Jake, the cruise is booked!!"
