James Corrigan Obituary
It is with great sorrow, the family of James (Jim) Edward Corrigan announces his passing on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the age of 59 years. As a lifelong Maple Leaf fan, Jim never deserted his team, so now he sits in the private box with Dave Keon and Tim Horton. Jim loved all sports but was especially active playing badminton and baseball. As a competitive badminton player, he was well known throughout the north as 'the guy to beat'. Jim took special pride in passing on his skills, coaching the local high school badminton teams until his work took him out of town. Jim will be greatly missed by members of the annual football pool. His love of travel saw Jim and Sandra vacationing most years to sunny destinations to avoid the cold, while staying put, at Camp Corrigan on Lake Superior during the summer months with family and friends. Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife and soul mate Sandra and stepson Bryan Tremblay as well as his brothers Pat, Mike (Terri) and John and his mother in-law Molly Brown. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, brother in-law Tim Brown (Corrie), sister in-laws; Kathy Butler (John), Diane Bernard, Sue Reinelt (Eric) and Heather Brown (Lex). Jim was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Rita Corrigan. A Resurrection Mass for Jim will take place at St. Martin of Tour's Roman Catholic Church in Terrace Bay beginning at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Friends may also call at St. Martin's on Monday, January 28,2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with Vigil Prayers beginning at 7:30pm. As expressions of sympathy the family requests donations be made in Jim's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society. Jim, you are in our heartsand memories forever. In loving memory, Sam and Bryan"
