JAMES POOLE Obituary
JAMES COLIN POOLE 1931 ~ 2024
One of Dad's favourite sayings was "Nobody calls it quitting time until I call it "quitting time"….QUITTING TIME".
Well, he called QUITTING TIME on July 12, 2024 with his family by his side. He managed to listen to some tunes and have a 'dance' before he left. James was a loving husband to Cathy, his bride of 71 years and a wonderful father to Debra McLeod (Glen), Diane Harrow (Joe), Wendy Petrone (Mike).
He was an extremely hard worker starting at the young age of 13. Most notably he would be remembered as a Store Manager of A&P and a Storeskeeper at St. Joe's Hospital in Thunder Bay.
Camp at Lake Shebandowan was his baby and lots of fun was had by family and friends. He prided himself on being a shrewd money manager and loved to give advice to friends and relatives. He always said "take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves".
B.C. and Kelowna ended up being his home for the past 30 years.
Dad was a grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 20 great and step grandchildren. He was the last one of a family of 12 and will be joining his Mother, Father and siblings and will look forward to a few dances with his sisters.

My condelonces to everyone. I remember "Mr Poole" as a kind and smiling man. Lovely obituary.
