On October 28th, 2025, the Big Finn passed away peacefully at TBRHSC after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jari was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on September 26, 1956 to Tarmo and Elma. Jari worked in the construction field for many years until health issues made him unable to continue. Jari was an avid sportsman and passed away during the World Series longest game. He was a true fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Montreal Canadiens. His happy place was Obonga Lake, where he spent many hours fishing, including one last time this summer. Jari is survived by his son Keenan; sister Anne (John); niece Lyndzie (Kevin) and many cousins in Finland. He was predeceased by his parents. The family extends heartfelt thanks to all doctors and nurses at the Cancer Centre and Unit 3B of TBRHSC for their care and compassion to Jari. Jari made many friends and connections through his life and will be missed but never forgotten.
Love you big brother.
