"Simply the best" JASON DONIO April 11, 1972 - October 21, 2023
Our community has suffered a great loss with the sudden passing of Jason, a truly giving person who had a contagious smile and a charismatic personality. Jason loved spending time with his family and his fur baby, Apollo. Jason also had a love of music and idolized his icons, Tina Turner & Carroll Baker. You couldn't have met Jason without knowing about Tina & Carroll! He was an avid dart player who organized the local dart league. He was a curler and always in attendance at the annual Native Mixed Curling Bonspiel. With Jasons passion for music he was the manager at the Whitesand radio station where he was the DJ and host of the weekly radio bingo; where community members loved to curse him. Jason always had a smile, he will be remembered for his wittiness and sense of humor. Jason was predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents, his mother Edna and by his nephew Brent "Lil Joe." Jason is survived by his father, Isadore; his brother Eric (Bev); sisters Jennifer and Francine (Ricky); and his four legged companion, Apollo; niece Emily (Ariyah, Tekaiya, Azalea and Weston), nephews Tieryn (Deon), Murray and Lennox; Aunties Corrine, Lena (Daniel), Yvonne (John), Barb (Harold) and Mary; Uncles Isadore, Edward (Lena), Floyd (Lynn), Francis (Virginia), Jimmy (Mel), Eddie and Stanley; special friends Celina S, Andrea D, Brenda K and Andrea H. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends. Service October 28th, 2023 at 11 am at Sargent and Son Funeral Chapel. Jason will be brought home to Our Lady Of The Snows Church until his funeral October 30, 2023 at 12 pm with interment at Hillside Cemetery.
