It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jay Bradley Palo at the age of 53, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at TBRHSC, surrounded by loved ones.
Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Jay or otherwise known as "JayBird" lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and skill. He spent many years as a loader operator, where his dedication and work ethic earned the respect of his coworkers and the community. But Jay's talents didn't stop there he was a true "Jay of all trades"
Jay is survived by his wife, Michelle, and his children, Emily, Trevor, and Nicole. He will also be deeply missed by his brother, Shawn (Deborah); sister, Lori; nieces and nephews, T.J., Ashley, and Kendra; as well as his great-nieces and great-nephew, cousins, special friends, as well as so many others who were lucky to know him.
Jay was predeceased by his parents, John and Lois Palo, his brother Johnny, and his best friend Scotty Garrett.
We invite friends and family to join us in celebrating his life on May 31st at 1:00pm, held at the Branch 5 Legion. A heartfelt thank you to friends Steve Bottomley, Kevin Hyatt and H.C Transport for their support as well as the staff on 2C at TBRHSC and Superior North EMS for their compassionate care.
