Jim Whincup Obituary

Jim Whincup, a kind, quiet, generous man, died on January 24, 2022, at the age of 85. Jim was born on November 14, 1936. For most of his life, Jim lived in the family home that his parents, Dan and Pauline (Minoletti) Whincup, built in the early 1940s on Pearl Street. It was here that childhood friends would become life-long friends.

Jim's death leaves a void in the hearts of his family: his sisters, Catherine McKinnon and Maryann White; brother-in-law, Murray White; nephew, Rob (Joanna) McKinnon; niece, Margot (Bob) Glover; and great-nieces, Laura and Anna Glover. Jim was predeceased by his parents; brother, Danny; brothers-in-law, Cliff White and Ron McKinnon; and special friend, Lee Spenser.

Cremation has taken place, and at Jim's request, there will not be a funeral.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethammi Nursing Home for the care, friendship, and compassion they extended to Jim so willingly since he became a part of their community in 2019.
