JIMMY DENNHARDT Obituary

DENNHARDT
With indescribable sorrow we are announcing the passing of James William Dennhardt, age 67 of Neebing, ON. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 20th, 2025.

James Dennhardt, son of William and Ella Dennhardt born on January 13th 1958 in Fort William, ON at McKellar Hospital.

Devoted husband to Jann, loving father to Matthew, Adam and Katelyn. Cherished grandfather to Liam and Casey, brother, uncle, cousin, son and a great friend to many.

Jim had a lifelong passion for racing, fishing and hunting with his friends and family. He was an exceptional truck driver with skills sought after by many, he spent 30 years with Bruno's Construction and his remaining years with Dave Boub Trucking and PNI Contracting. In the winter months he plowed snow for his life long friend at Plow King. Jim's passion for racing was passed down to his children where he spent countless hours in the old shop building, fixing, fabricating and always improving whatever projects they would bring home.

Jim's way of unwinding would consist of spending time fishing Lake Superior, enjoying cold beer on the deck and a roaring camp fire with great tunes.

A man of strong will, known for his strength, kindness and worth ethic. He taught us hard work and determination. A wealth of knowledge around stock cars, fishing and hunting.

Survived by his children Matthew (Breanne), Adam (Kaylee), Katelyn, his spouse Jann, grandchildren Liam and Casey, Father William, mother and father-in-law Jean and Herman Labelle, brothers Andrew and Richard and sisters Brenda (Terry) and Karen (Denis), and brother-in-law Bruce.

Preceded by his mother Ella, brother Robert and sister-in-law Carla.

A Celebration of Life will be held with family and friends at a later date in the spring.

We as a family would like to thank all the staff at TBRHSC who provided exceptional care to Our Dad.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.

Dad, Jimbo, crew chief, the bear, you are at peace and will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace. Until we meet again.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.

So very sorry for the Dennhardt Family to learn about Jim's passing. Knew him as a great guy all the way back to Riverdale School, and always enjoyed catching up with him, whether at Little Pigeon Bay, at the track in Emo, and even once on the highway in Ignace (which led to a few at the North Woods Bar later). Whenever I ran into him, far too seldom the last few years, I always left with a big smile on my face, passed on by Jim, after a great conversation and lots of laughter. I think the last time was a couple years ago at the Hymer's Fair when he was there with Bill. The world has truly lost a good man.
