Joan Curran

Joan Curran nee Sorensen, of Dryden, ON passed away peacefully at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre April 29. Born March 7, 1954 in Bowmanville, ON, she attended college in Sault Ste. Marie and resided in Northern Ontario. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Terrance Robert Curran; Kirsten Marie Sullivan (John Bernard Sullivan), Jens Lyngaard Sorensen and his wife Patricia Jane, Anne Elisabeth Scott and her husband William Thomas George, Helga Dora Guthrie and husband Arnold Douglas, Ellen Cook and husband Christopher Wilson, Rickie Sorensen. Also survived by nine nieces and nephews Susan Renee Nixon, Sean Phillip Sullivan, Tove Annette Scott, Christopher Patrick Sullivan, Kenneth William Guthrie, Jennifer Kristina Guthrie, Joseph Kristian Eugene Sorensen, Sarah Lorraine Spittal, Megan Elisabeth Cook as well as 10 great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Peder Kristian Vansgaard Sorensen and Ingeborg (Skov) Sorensen, and sister Karen Margeret Sorensen. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Millbrook Legion Branch 402 in Millbrook on Sunday May 11, 2014. Doors will be open at noon, an informal service to take place at 1 P.M.
