JOHN DUBEAU Obituary

John Armand DuBeau passed away on December 9th, 2025, in the arms of his loving wife. John was born in Montreal on June 11, 1961 to Eleanor and Armand DuBeau, and grew up in Thunder Bay on Edward Street.

John was our family chef, our rescuer, our safety net, our MacGyver, our everything.

He had many passions…a fast ride up Spruce River Road or through Slate River Valley on a warm day, Steak and Spaghetti dinners, beach runs in the truck or camper, feeding steak to his furry friends, inventing recipes with his famously detailed meticulous step-by-step instructions. John was a member of Local 628 and a proud steamfitter.

John is predeceased by his sister Margie and his parents. John is survived by his wife, Sue; sister Heather (Bill); daughter Megan (Steve), sons; James, Bryan (Laura), Jason (Mariano); grandchildren Tobias, Solaar, Lily and Caiden; nieces Sarah, Carolyn, Amy, and nephews Alex and Jamie.

His French heart held his family and friends close. It was common for John to tell us he loved us through either words, deeds or a huge encompassing hug - and sometimes all three. John was and is truly loved and will leave a huge legacy of love of family.

My condolences to Johns family. I worked with him on the waterfront development project. He was a very knowledgeable and competent tradesman. His humour made the job more enjoyable.
