JOHN EDWARD EATON
John Eaton, long time resident of Thunder bay, has passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.
John shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Vivian, and was a devoted father to his sons, Michael and Greg. He was a proud grandfather to Cherish, Brandon, Katelyn, Gregory, and Jacob, who will always remember the quiet strength and gentle kindness that he carried with him in every moment.
In his younger years, John found joy in the wind and open skies whether he was sailing across lake superior or riding his motorcycle down open roads. A longtime ironworker, John took pride in his trade and the lasting mark he left on his community through hard work, perseverance, and craftsmanship.
Those who knew John will remember him as patient, steady, and incredibly kind. A man whose quiet presence made the world feel calmer and safer.
John is survived by his brother Dave, and he is reunited in peace with his siblings Bruce, Christine, and Paula, as well as his parents, Buck & Jenny. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his friends and neighbours, and many, many others whose lives he touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 14th from 1:00 3:00pm at the Italian Cultural Centre Bar.
