John W. Graham

John Graham, age 81, of Terrace Bay, passed away unexpectedly on FridayJanuary 30.John was born June 22, 1922 in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan toWilliam Robert and Rhoda Alice Graham.Moose Jaw was his home until theearly 1940's when he made his way east.He settled in Thunder Bay andwas employed by Canada Car where he met the love of his life, Kay.Theywere married September 27, 1944.John moved to Terrace Bay in 1946, (Kay followed in 1948) and theybecame "pioneers" of the new community.John was employed by KimberlyClark for over 40 years, retiring in 1987.He was always very activelyinvolved in community events including Minor Hockey, Boy Scouts,Kiwanis, Meals on Wheels and the Terrace Bay Community Church. John is survived by his wife Kay, his four children, Susan (Mike) Hillof Scarborough, Judy of Thunder Bay, Cathy (John) McGrath of Red Rockand John of Schreiber.He was blessed with six grandchildren, Jesse andKatie McGrath, Peter and Christie Commisso, and Jeremy and Jessica Hill.Johnadored them all and avidly monitored their endeavours andadventures.John is also survived by his two brothers Bill, (Kay), andJim, (Mavis), of Moose Jaw, and his sister-in-law, Gwen Koziy, ofThunder Bay.Numerous nieces and nephews are also saddened by his loss.John was predeceased by his parents and his sister Ruth.A humble and compassionate man, John will be remembered and missed byall who knew him.Cremation has already taken place.Funeral services will be held at theTerrace Bay Community Church on Tuesday February 3 at 11:00 a.m.Interment will occur at a later date.If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to a charity ofchoice would be greatly appreciated.On-line Condolences atwww.jenkens-funeral.ca"
