John Hancock Obituary

A true gentleman and good friend, John Hancock, passed away on Sunday, May 19th, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospice with his friends by his side. John will be fondly remembered by his close friends Margaret, Terry and Peter.John was born in Toronto on March 29th, 1936. He had to leave school at the age of 16 to earn his living but was well read and very interested in nature and all its aspects. At age 17, John commenced working on lake freighters as a kitchen helper and over his working life progressed to being a second engineer, sailing in the Great Lakes, the Atlantic coast and into the Arctic Ocean, retiring in 2001.On John's behalf we would like to thank all the care givers who assisted him in his later years of ill health.Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 27th, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Gardens, officiated by Fr.
