JOHN KOVACHIS Obituary
The Kovachis family is saddened to announce John's death on October 16th at the age of 68 at his home in Madsen, Ontario (Red Lake). John's career as a hard-rock miner took him to several mines across the country. He retired in 2006 after suffering his first stroke. John worked hard and played hard. No one was more surprised than he that he had lived even this long. John was very grateful for friends, neighbours and family who enabled him to live on his own when his mobility declined. You know who you are. He couldn't have done it without you.
"Exactly!" A word John used often that echoed his agreement.

I met John a few times when he was staying with Nick and Rachel. I liked him immediately. He led a life full of ups and downs but worked hard at making it work. We send our love to you Nick and Rach.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Kovachis Family, especially Nick and Rachel. It is always difficult to lose a family member, but losing a brother is especially hard. Although we never met John, we hope that memories of your times together will bring you peace in the days ahead.
