JOHN NACCARATO Obituary

JOHN NACCARATO
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of John Naccarato on August 11, 2024, at the age of 58. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family at his side.

John was born on January 27, 1966, to loving parents Francesca and Francesco Naccarato in Paterno Calabro, Italy. At age 7, he immigrated to Thunder Bay with his family where he went on to build a life filled with loving family, a wide network of cherished friends and a successful business.

John's curiosity and many natural talents lead him to become master of his craft in several areas including concrete finishing, ceramic tile and granite. He was the proud owner of Duracon/Granite Tops where his passion for crafting granite led him abroad to master the trade and bring countertop manufacturing to Thunder Bay.

When he wasn't working, John enjoyed his other passions, fishing and spending time at his place in Kab Lake where he made many cherished memories with friends and family over the years. John's boundless energy and zest for life lit up the room and could turn any ordinary day into an adventure. His sense of humour and quick wit drew people to want to be around him. He also loved a good debate, his Maple Leafs and cherished pups, Princess and Roxy. Life will not be the same without you John.

Above all, John was always there for a friend in need. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity and willingness to always lend a helping hand. If there was a solution, he would find it.

He is survived by his cherished son Alex, loving partner Kasia Krapic, devoted mother Francesca, sisters Maria (David) Vidotto, Cynthia (Peter) Domjancic and Diana (Kirk) Clark, stepfamily Adam (Kayla), Paulina and granddaughter Addisyn Krapic, Krystyna and Stefan Klamski and Yvonne Peterson, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada, Belgium and Italy. He is also survived by a wide network of close friends, too numerous to name. He is predeceased in life by his father Francesco and stepfather Peter Trevisan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, presided by Rev. Luigi Filippini. Private entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Please join us in celebrating John's remarkable life and honoring his memory.

The service will be livestreamed at www.harbourviewfuneral.ca where condolences may be offered as well.

My condolences to John´s family and friends. I spent my early years in construction with TJ Corp. John and his company were often part of the constuction team on TJ projects. I always enjoyed working with John as I knew he would always put his best effort into whatever the project, whether a small cottage or a large government job. It was not just John´s talents and work ethic but his people skills. He was a compassionate man suitable in anyone´s presence. We shared many laugh's together. I will miss him.
