It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Benjamin, age 33 years, of Atikokan Ontario, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2012 at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. Joe was born on June 18, 1979 in Atikokan, Ontario. Joe lived in Atikokan for his entire life. Joe attended the Atikokan High School. Joe made his living doing body work and loved working on vehicles. He enjoyed all of the outdoor activities living in Atikokan had to offer. He especially enjoyed all of the camping trips he and his family took together. Joe was a wonderful son, brother and father. He had many friends and was always there to lend a hand to anyone. Joe was especially proud of the day he became a father with the birth of his daughter Hailey. Hailey was at the center of everything Joe did and being with her was the greatest joy of his life. Joe was survived by his beloved daughter Hailey. His parents Rod and Darlene Benjamin and his brother Rod Jr., all of Atikokan. Joe is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who will all miss him greatly. Joe is also survived by his special grandmother Doreen Carragher. Joe had many close friends, many of whom had been his friend since childhood. Joe is predeceased by his grandparents Clifford and Frances Cunningham, Marion and May Benjamin, his uncles James and Leroy Cunningham and Robert Maddams and his cousin David Cunningham. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Joe's Life for family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25th at the Royal Canadian Legion in Atikokan.On-line condolencesmay be made through
