Joseph "Joe" Wright

May 05, 1961 ~December 24, 2012With heavy hearts the family announces the unexpected passing of Joseph "Joe" Wright, on December 24, 2012 in Toronto at the age of 51 years. Joe was born on May 05, 1961 and was raised in Thunder Bay. He received his education at St. Elizabeth's and Selkirk High School after which he was employed for many years as a meat cutter. He enjoyed camping, fishing and going to the casino but, most of all spending time with family and friends. Joe is survived by his mother Joyce Hanson, step father Earl Hanson, sisters Brenda Webb (Richy), Bonnie Hascher (Harold), Donna Pontynen (Raymond), Debra Ferris (Warren), numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joe was predeceased by his father Douglas Wright in 1976, grandparents Marie and Archie Perrier, Edna and Roy Wright. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date. A celebration of life will be held at the Westfort Prosvita, 721 Gore St W., on Sunday January 20, 2013 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
