JOUKO KORHONEN Obituary
Born July 6, 1945 Kajaani, Finland Died May 3, 2025 Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada
He is survived by his wife Marketta, daughter Pia (with former spouse Terttu) and family, sons Gary & Mark (Nancy) and family, his sister Pirkko and family, relatives in Finland and USA, and friends worldwide.
He is predeceased by his parents Viljo and Ebba Irene.
The family thanks the Bethammi Nursing Home and the palliative ward at St Joseph's Hospital.
We ask for privacy at this time as we prepare for a Celebration of Life to be held on July 2, 2025 at 11:00 am in Hilldale Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jouko's memory to Hilldale Lutheran Church or the charity of your own choice.

Jouko was a member of the Kiikurit Finnish folk dancing group when I first joined the group. I fondly remember how kindly and generously he would help me at practices, to learn the steps. He was a gentleman with a kind heart. I join you in your sorrow and send my deepest condolences.
