Joyce passed away last Tuesday peacefully at home, aged 84. Her wishes were for there to be no funeral. A garden party will be held in the Spring for friends and family

Joyce is survived her son and daughter. To sure my fondest memory, i always had rescue dogs in my life. My work at one point required extensive travel. My little dog "sugar" was know at airports as little dog in big kennel arriving for Joyce Block= she loved dogs. It was the only time I saw her happy and with purpose after her retirement as a nurse. When sugar passed she was buried with a rock Joyce had painted and given to me. I hope they reconnect in the after life. My daughter, granddaughter and I will be providing a bench in her honor in a dog park and annual contributions in her name to a program that provides financial support to families for child to have pets. The program covers veterinary care.

I came to know Joyce through my brother Christopher and sister-in-law Barbara who were her very dear friends. I will remember Joyce as a very special and lovely lady. My condolences to her husband John, during this time of profound sadness.
