Julia Chimbora Obituary

Mrs. Julia Chimbora, age 95 years, of Pinewood Court, died on Friday, February 24, 2006. Julia was born in 1910 in Slovakia and has been a resident of the city since 1929. She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and the Canadian Slovak League. Julia is survived by her three daughters Mary Zack (John), Margaret Mills, and Cecile Otto (Errol), all of Thunder Bay, nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, July 30, 1976, granddaughter Linda Bascello, August 8, 1994, parents and five brothers in Slovakia, three sisters in Canada and United States. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry McDougall s.j. officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial donations in Julia's memory, may be made to the St. Peter's Memorial Fund or to the Charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Julia Chimbora in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 24, 2007.
