Kaija-Liisa Kantola Obituary

Mrs. Kaija-Liisa Kantola a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away at Dawson Court, on Monday, December 31, 2007 at the age of 86. She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children Lorraine (Roland) Reid and Edward (Terry) Koivula, both of Thunder Bay. Also left to mourn are her grandchildren Lynn, Debbie, Mark and Colin. Kay's great-grandchildren Sarah and Emma will miss the enjoyable visits with their great-grandmother on those family filled Saturdays. Kay is also survived by her sister-in-law Juanita Niemi, nieces Ellen and Jennifer, nephew Eric and sister Laila. Other relatives also survive. Kay was predeceased by her parents Aino and Jack Niemi, brother Eric, nephew Lee and brother-in-law Robert. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00am in the Blake Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Silliman officiating. Interment of ashes will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Kaija-Liisa Kantola in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
