KAREN GALVIN Obituary

GALVIN
Mrs. Karen Esther Galvin, age 87 years, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025. Born September 8, 1938 in Russell, MB. She attended Crawford School in Westfort; was a waitress at Nellie's Restaurant across from the train station and a nursing assistant at Central Park Lodge, then worked for the Grain Commission. She is survived by four children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren Draike Jr, 13, Orion, 11 and Theo, 6. She was involved with the Manna Food Co-op. Karen worked with the Citizens Committee studying nuclear waste and was a member of the Moose Lodge Fort William. She was creative and could work with oils, watercolours, knitting and crocheting, embroidery, all arts and crafts. Karen was also known to all for her great sense of humour. According to Karen's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
