MARTYN
Keith Ronald Martyn passed away at Hogarth Riverview Manor (Birch) on November 6th, 2025 at the age of 85 with his sister-in-law Gladys by his side. Cremation has taken place and as per his wishes there will be no service. Born in Neebing on August 2nd, 1940, last child of Robert and Ada. Attended Rosslyn Road School, then graduated from Selkirk High School. Went surveying in Dryden area for a few years, worked at Great Lakes Mill (Resolute) with brother Jake before starting his mining at Inco Mine, then Barrick Mine near Marathon. If you wanted to see him, he would be walking the mall with Jake and Gladys or sitting on a bench scratching a ticket. He also enjoyed the casinos, rodeos, and dirt track car races with his brothers Jake and Duncan and their families. He would like to thank his sister-in-law Gladys for all her help in the last years, along with the help of niece Mary (Dale) Wideman, nephew George Jr. (Teri-Ann) Martyn, and Duncan Jr. Martyn until his passing in 2020, for the phone calls and dropping by to see if I was OK. Predeceased by parents Robert and Ada, brothers, sisters, and in-laws; Reginald and Cecil in infancy, Flora (Joe) Gaudreau, Doris (Tom) Hood, Margaret (Ernie) Goodchild, Kay (Ivan) Nesbitt, Irene (John) Tapak, Harold (Mary), Duncan (Anita), William, Norm (Bev), Dan, Jake, and nephew Duncan Jr. Survived by sisters-in-law Gladys, Sheila, and Eleanor, he will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. An interment of ashes will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery.
