KEN CROOKS Obituary

KEN CROOKS April 03, 1940 - October 17, 2025
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Ken at home. Ken worked for CP Rail for 35 years where he was on the move for over 20yrs finally settling in Thunder Bay for the last 40yrs. After retiring Ken and Flo spent time in Myrtle Beach and the last 11 years in Mesa, Arizona. He was a proud member of the Kinistico Lodge #1 and a Shriner Wawa Temple Saskatchewan. He was also a member of the Lakehead Antique Car Club with his prized 50 Red Chevy Truck. He travelled many times to "Back to the Fifties" with his pals Bill & Jack. Prior to his health issues you could find him at Chapples around 6:30am five days a week with Curly. He was a wonderful person and father and if you knew him you knew he would help anyone that needed it. For many years he was a volunteer at George Jeffrey Children's Centre. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years Flo, son Bruce (Tracy), daughter Marnie (Jamie) Moroz whom he was so proud of. Grandkids Zach (Kyla) Moroz, Mike Crooks, Erin (Paul) Boechler, Abby (Tyler) Sanden, great grandkids Mackenzie Wilkins, Beau Boechler and Jude Sanden. Sister Donna (Brian) Dyce and family. Predecessed by his parents and his beloved grandson Daniel Moroz who will be by now teaching him how to play the drums. Cremation has taken place and as Ken's wishes no funeral will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to George Jeffreys or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I´m so sorry to hear of Ken´s passing, please accept my sincere condolences to Flo and his family and friends. I´ve enjoyed Kens company for the past 33 years, we shared many trips to back to the 50s, Breakfasts at the Skan and Nivea´s, plus our morning coffee´s at The Perrsion Man and Tim´s. It was always nice to see him at cruise nights and at the soap box derbies at Waverley Hill. It was nice knowing you Ken, may you rest in piece. John Vigliarolo
