KEN VEZINA Obituary

KEN VEZINA
It is with very heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ken Vezina on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025 at the age of 86. He died peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side. Ken was born on December 27th, 1938. To say that he was the best is an understatement. He was very loving, caring and generous. He was employed at The Great Lakes Papermill for 40 years. Ken enjoyed playing his guitar with the Music Makers every Wednesday. His biggest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ken was married to his high school sweetheart, Pat Dejonkheere, on April 11, 1959. Ken is predeceased by his parents Ken and Victoria Vezina, brother Jerry and grandson Ryan Miller. He is survived by his wife Pat, daughters Karen Vezina and Kathy Tomko (Jamie). Grandchildren Amy Stewart, Kylie Siciliano, Jonathan Siciliano (Lex) Lacey, Taylor (Gord), Kaitlin Tomko (Cassius). Great-grandchildren Logan, Aspen, Aticus, Hunter and Sage. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Also surviving is his sister Trisha Shewchuk (Steve), Audrey Young (Bob). A very heartfelt thanks to Ken's sister Trisha Shewchuk for everything she did for her brother. She has a heart of gold and is very loved. At Ken's request, there will be no memorial service. If family and friends so desire, donations to the Thunder Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

We lost another good one! In my early years, your love and kindness had a profound impact on me when I needed someone to believe in me. You showed me I was worthy of love.

From the laughter you brought during tough times to the comfort of your presence, you were a true blessing. Your guidance and encouragement will stay with me forever, teaching us what it means to love, give, and stay grounded.

I cherish the stories you told, the jokes you cracked, and your humor in the Oggie and Boggie tales, along with those memorable car trips filled with pretend stops that made us laugh. Your quiet wisdom, shared just between us, was so needed.

Even though we haven´t been together in years, Uncle Kenny, you leave behind a legacy of quiet strength. Your influence will live on in all of us who knew and loved you. Rest well, Uncle - your life made a lasting difference, and I will always carry you in my heart.
