KENNETH JENNINGS Obituary

JOHN JENNINGS April 17, 1955 - February 2, 2025
Kenny Jennings passed away suddenly Sunday morning. He leaves in his wake a torrent of tears. Sometimes in life you take things for granted, and just like that they're gone.

Kenny met Jacki and her 2 daughters. He fell in love and married Jacki and accepted April and Randi as his own daughters. And the family began. Randi met Corey, April met Todd and the family grew. Haleigh met Andrew, Brooke met Ryan, Tyson met Brandi, Landon met Sara, and Mathias met Kelsey and the family grew. Along came Wilder, Eli and Rhett and the family grew.

Kenny J had many passions in his life but being called Puppy was his greatest joy. A close second was camp, fishing, his Leafs and living long enough to see weed legalized. KJ was a generous person. If you were in need of an opinion, he'd gladly give you one of his. Kenny talked to his sister Lynda almost daily. How awesome to have family that are friends. Marshall must have wondered why Lynda would have the phone to her ear and not be saying anything.

Like his life, Kenny was also lucky in business, having retired from Truck and Diesel Hydraulics, a successful business he helped grow with his father Phil.

Kenny grew up on Francis St and made many lifelong friends who remained important throughout his life. Kenny also had many special friends in his neighbours and camp buddies.

Kenny is predeceased by his mom Lylla, his father Phil and Phil's partner later in life Lorraine, mother and father-in-law Peter and Helen Kosolowski and numerous other family members.

Kenny is survived by his family previously mentioned, sisters in law Rosie and Evelyn, special niece Judy and her son Mikey and Lynda's children Kathryn, Rachel and Tad and their families.

Kenny had many more family that were friends and friends that were family to him.

One more golf session will be held in the garage with the remainder of the foursome, Ron, Kevin and Brian, in the coming weeks, and a celebration of Kenny's life will take place at Dog Lake this summer. We're going to raft all the boats and jet skis out in front of the camp and send him on his way in style.

As you were so willing to offer, we have decided to drink all that beer you left. Wish you were here for one more!
In lieu of flowers, donations to Kenny's choice, The Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choosing are welcome.

Arrangements pending.

Although months have sped by since Kenny's passing on February 2nd he is far from forgotten & has left a void in the family. Being his second cousin from England unfortunately I didn't meet him until I came to Canada as an adult, so I missed his formative years. He was a good, loving & loyal husband to Jacki, a father to her daughters Randi & April, & a loving brother to Lynda.

Jackie and Family,
As you celebrate Kenny´s life, please know that we will miss him dearly. Kenny was such a kind, caring, generous soul. May your memories provide comfort, warmth, laughter, love. How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so difficult. Kenny was loved. Best wishes.

Sincere condolences to you and your family Jackie. I am so grateful for having had the opportunity to reconnect and visit with Kenny (and yourself) again last summer at the lake. Kenny was always a kind and generous person. Always happily willing to help out, share and support... whether it be his friendship, his advice or just a lively, friendly conversation. It was a true pleasure reconnecting with you both upon my son and his family becoming "lake neighbors". Sincere thoughts and hugs to you all as you move forward from your very sad loss...take care

I remember how nice and welcoming Kenny was. He would sit down and start a conversation with anyone. I remember all the fun times i had with Kenny and Jackie at the cottage in Thunder Bay even though i was young at the time I´ll never forget those days. He treated us like family and I always enjoyed seeing Kenny and Jackie when they came to visit. I´ll never forget about Kenny.

Truck & Diesel was one of the first Parker distributors in Canada.
Being the Parker rep, I would drive to Thunder Bay a few times a year to meet with Kenny.
The relationship quickly blossomed to a close friendship and dinner at The Keg was a ritual.
Kenny and Jacki invited me and my family to Dog Lake and we always had a wonderful time.
Kenny showed my two boys how to fish and quad. The super hot sauna was also an adventure.
Kenny was one of the most caring and giving person I´ve ever met.
It was unfortunate we didn´t live closer to spend more time together.
We are going to miss you Kenny.
Love Mark, Karen, Kyle, and Chayse Brawdy.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss Jacki. Our memories of Kenny always reflect back to the Dog Lake campground and how wonderful he was with friends and family. My personal one is that one day when you, Kenny myself and Laura headed out to an Island for a day on a beach. This was the month that Lyndon and Alex were in Germany and you two would pick us up to drive us there without question. When we were on shore, Kenny looked up, saw the storm clouds and said we have to leave now. I double jacketed up Laura and he agreed, we drove back in the storm and he never showed any anxiety for the hour until we reached shore. Then I saw his tears. The next weekend, I gave him a captain's hat and forever nicknamed him Cappy KJ. name has always remained with me. We have thought of you both so often, the times on that lake and how wonderful the both of you were. We hope that this little story brings a smile to your face at this time of loss and our hearts go out to you . Connie Lou and Alex
