KENNETH ROY Obituary
Kenneth Edgar "Ken" Roy, age 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 11, 2026.
Born on March 25, 1935, in Dryden, Ontario, Ken was the only child of the late Edgar and June Roy. He was raised and educated in Dryden and later in Toronto, where he developed a strong work ethic and sense of pride that carried through his life.
Ken proudly served with the Canadian Air Force in Europe from 1952 to 1955. His time in the Air Force was a source of great pride, and he enjoyed sharing stories and memories of his service. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Port Arthur Branch 5.
Ken spent 40 years working as a crane operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers, a career marked by dedication, skill, and commitment.
Fate brought Ken to Port Arthur, where he met the love of his life, Irene. They were married in 1963 and shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and family.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Irene; his children, Alan (Cyndi), André (Lorraine), and Michelle; and his cherished grandsons, Alexander, Aric, Graham, and Michael.
A private family gathering has taken place. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
