KENNETH STREY Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Garland Strey, age 71, on September 23, 2025. Ken was born on November 15, 1953 in Port Arthur, Ontario, and he lived in Thunder Bay all his life. Ken worked as a chef at numerous hotels and restaurants in the city, at Lac Des Illes mine, and most recently at the Thunder Bay Casino. Ken was passionate about music and local art. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.
Ken will be sadly missed by his sons Steven (Julie) and Jon Paul (Sarah), by his grandchildren Victoria, Olivia, Norah and Adley, by his siblings Karen (Ron), Glen (Nancy), Sally (David) and Cindy (John), and by his nieces, nephews and cousins. Ken is predeceased by his father Kenneth and Mona.
A gathering of Ken's family will be held at a later date.
