LAILA SIDDALL Obituary

MRS. LAILA E. SIDDALL May 10, 1937 ~ October 22, 2025
The family of Mrs. Laila E. Siddall is saddened to announce her passing on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 in Roseview Manor, where she had been a resident for the past 5 years. She was 88 years young!

Born in Finmark, ON Laila was a lifetime resident of the Lakehead. In her earlier years she volunteered for several organizations and also provided home care for the Children's Aide Society, and for multi disabled youth from the former Northwestern Ont. Regional Centre. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Doyle (Brendan) in Kingston, ON, Julia Kangas (Jim) in Port Alberni, BC, and Kathryn Sauve (Mark) in Breezy Point, MN; grandchildren, Alyssa, Hannu, Krystal, Matthew, Laura, Adam, Kieran, David and Logan Doyle; great-grandchildren, Jasmine, MacKenzie, Kennedy, Avery, and Casey. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and other family members in Finland and the US.

Predeceased by her husband, Gerry; her parents, Karl and Kaarina; sister, Miriam; son, Vern; step-daughter, Maria (Bill) Booklam; and nephew, Alan.

A private family interment will take place in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Laila's memory to be sent to ones favourite charity of choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
