Mrs. Laura Methot, age 87 years, resident of Nanaimo, BC and long time resident of Thunder Bay, ON passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
Laura was born in Port Arthur, ON, June 25, 1931. She married Ernest Methot and together they raised 5 children. Laura is described by many and thought of by her family as one of the strongest women anyone has ever met. Laura has always been a hard worker, never resting a day. Laura was one of the first women to be employed by Northerns Saw Mills where she worked for approximately 30 years until she “retired” moving to British Columbia in 1998. Laura kept busy in her “retirement” years delivering up to 14 paper routes at once and working full time at Walmart in the fashion dept. Laura proudly dedicate her life to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; always proving and helping when and where she could.
Laura is survived and forever remembered by her sons, David, Donald (Joanne), Christopher and daughter Barbara; grandchildren Ernest Jr., Tannis, Marcey, Crystal, Cory; Adam, Laurie, Michelle and great grandchildren; Santana, Cassandra, Brennen, Kaiden, Kali-Anne, Brynlee, Brady, Logan and Tyler.
Laura was predeceased by her husband Ernest; son Ernest; sister Georgina and parents George and Antonia Freeman.
Laura was an incredible woman who touched the lives of many in her 87 years. Laura's footprint on earth will always live on and be remembered by those who had the honour of knowing her.

My condolences to the family. Laura was an amazing person who was well loved and respected by everyone at Wal-Mart. Every day I use my acti-fry, my face lights up and I start to smile as I remember the day Laura and I went shopping to buy them as they were on sale. Laura loved to get a good deal. I feel blessed to have known such a wonderful lady.
