Laurajane Tymko Obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Laurajane Tymko announce her passing on September 2, 2013 in her home with family by her side in Lake Stevens, Washington after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 3, 1960 to Doug and Evelyn Reynolds. Laurajane was married to Harry Tymko Jr. on September 2, 1978 and celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary at the time of her passing. Laurajane is survived by parents Doug and Evelyn Reynolds of Schreiber Ontario, brother Doug (Jocelyn) Reynolds Jr. of Schreiber Ontario, son Harry (Lisa) Tymko III of Terrace Bay Ontario, daughter Keirsten (Shaun) Molloy of Nanaimo BC, Grandsons Harrison and Hudson Tymko, and granddaughter Shaylah Rose Molloy. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members also survive. Laurajane was predeceased by son Shaun Tymko. Laurajane dedicated her life to caring for her family and the children that lived in the neighborhood. When caring for the neighborhood children, Laurajane always had crafts to make and pictures to color that could be taken home to show their parents. Laurajane took pride that her kids could count and know the alphabet before going to their first day of school. During Laurajane's illness, drawn and colored pictures would mysteriously show up at our front door or in the mail box which would lift up her spirits immensely. She would also know who they came from even if they did not have their name on it. Laurajane's legacy will live on through her own children who today are great parents to her grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through the neighborhood children through their artwork creations and their caring attitudes towards one another. Laurajane's presence will continue to be felt. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at the Cross Roads Church in Lake Stevens on Thursday, September 12 at 11:00 am with lunch to follow afterwards. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Autism Society."
