LEO ST CYR Obituary

LEO ST CYR
It is with extreme heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leo James St Cyr on June 14, 2024, at the age of 45. Leo was born February 24, 1979, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where he grew up with his parents and sister. He attended Hammarskjold/St. Ignatius High Schools where he was well known to be the life of the party. Leo entered the work force and started his career in Mining where over the years, he would make many long-lasting relationships. Employed at Musselwhite, the company treated him like family. Leo was also an entrepreneur, his passion for saunas inspired him to open Cedar Sauna and Rentals.

Being in public with Leo was an experience. It was ensured that he would stop and talk to EVERYONE, telling stories, making jokes, and without a doubt, leaving people smiling. He had an ability to make fast friends and making all friends feel like his best friend. Leo's personality was infectious. He was always more than happy to be the one you told all your troubles to and would give anybody the shirt off his back.

In 2008, Leo met the love of his life, Kaleigh. They fell in love and soon after, they started a beautiful family together. Lily, (daughter), and Brooks (son), were his pride and joy, his heart, and his entire world. Leo loved many things, saunas, fishing, camping, BBQs, and get togethers with family and friends. That was most important to him.

Leo found beauty in everything around him. He was so proud of his kids, his family, and his friends. The stories to be told about him will be a privilege to tell his children one day of their funny and loving father.

Leo is survived by his parents, Janice and Leo St Cyr, older sister, Rachelle Brink (Sean) Ryder, Brody along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and Kaleigh Gibb the love of his life and mother of his beloved children.

Leo, you will be up there watching over us all, making new friends and selling ice to Eskimos. You will be loved, missed and never forgotten. Leo you are an absolute legend.

A Celebration of life will be held in his honour on Thursday, July 11th at Galaxy lanes at 2:00pm.

I met Leo when I was 14. We had a few good laughs and times together with the group of friends. I talked to Leo months back and he expressed how proud he was of his children and to be their father. His laugh you could pick out of a crowd. My deepest condolences to his entire family. God gained another angel too soon. May you rest in peace Leo
