My earliest memory of Les was of a new red-haired brother, using nappies and drinking water from a banana/ canoe shaped bottle. Two sisters later, I was sitting up in bed, just daylight, arms round Les and Ethel, holding their bowls while balancing my own bowl on my knees , and all coughing with Whooping-Cough. Our youngest sister had silent whooping cough. 1942/4 Les & I turning rows of hay before we could go for a swim at the next-door school pool. Trying to make cricket bats from a bit of wood, shaping handles with carving knife, & smoothing with dad's planes. Learning to play brass instruments for the Salvation Army band. Just some of my early memories.I share them with Love. Kathleen

I had the pleasure of working with Les at Wardrop/TetraTech Engineering. He was a great Engineer and leader but even a better person.
Heartfelt condolences.

Dear Uncle Les
I cannot remember when I last saw you. I may of been pretty young. But you are my family and have and always will love you. I'm sad you have passed. But know you lived a long fulfilled life.
All my love to family xx rest in peace

I remember your family in Terrace Bay. Condolences to all of you. My mother had Marions Snack Bar and some of the kids used to come in for tea. Sorry to hear of his passing.
