Lewis Petrone Obituary

LEWIS JAMES PETRONE
On March 29th, 2025 the Good Sheperd called his black sheep Lewis James Petrone home. Lewi was born on Jan 8, 1958, the fourth child of Frank and Marcella Petrone. He was not destined to remain in the family business Frank's Locker Service, trying out many jobs including seismic crew, Great West Timber, convenience store owner and finally finding his calling as a commercial truck driver. Lewis married the love of his life Helen and they would make many places their home including Thunder Bay, ON, Kelowna, BC and most recently Nanton, AB. Lewi had a gift for making people laugh, even in the direst of circumstances. He taught his kids to find positives in the negative and he never lost his sense humour throughout his health challenges. After suffering a massive heart attack in 2016 he received a heart transplant and we were blessed with 8 1/2 more years of his jokes. Left behind to remember his light are his wife and soulmate Helen, and sons Cody (Becky) Petrone of Lethbridge, AB and Cory Petrone, Kelowna, BC., as well as siblings, in-laws, God Daughters, nieces, great nieces and great nephews. To honour Lewi's memory cook someone you love a great meal and please sign your donor card.

Gone but never forgotten, rest in peace Lewi.

Dear Helen and family. As cousins of Lewi, we lovingly remember him in the early days at family dinners, playing hockey, skating in the backyard, shovelling snow at Grandma´s and making us laugh. In high school, he was voted to have the "best disposition" and indeed he did. That is how he will be remembered. Condolences.
