Lillian Magill Obituary

Lillian Dorothy Magill age 85 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, at the Thunder Bay Health Sciences Centre on Friday, May 27, 2011. Born in Redditt, Ontario, she had been a resident of Thunder Bay for the past 52 years. Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her 5 sons; Vaughn (Barb), Barry (Anne), Wayne (Laurie), Keith (Kathie) and Glenn (Joann), daughter Aldene (Ray Parsons), grandchildren; Nikki, Scott, Kelly, Lindsay, Kevin, Melanie, Murray, Ryan, Shauna, Haleigh, Katie, Paddye and Kelsey. She is also survived by brother Verner McNally of Edmonton, Alberta and by many dear and personal friends. Lillian was predeceased by her loving husband Albert in March of 1999, brother Harold in August of 1997 and her parents Verner and Marjorie McNally. Lillian was a member of the O.P.P. Veterans' Association and St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church. Her zest for life was evident in all her experiences. Travelling, shopping, music, dancing, beadwork and the being in the outdoors were among some of Lillian's lifelong passions. Her greatest joys were her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 30th, 2011, leaving the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel at 9:50 am to St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church for services at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Peter Smyth presiding. A private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday May 29th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request memorials be made to World Vision or the charity of their choice. On-line condolences may be made at: www.sargentandson.com. For all who knew her, she forever touched their lives through her caring and loving ways. She was the heart and soul of her family"
