LILLIAN McCARVILLE Obituary

McCARVILLE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Lillian Aime McCarville (nee Tremblay) on Sunday, June 29th, 2025 at Roseview Manor at the age of 98, with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She married Ronald McCarville in 1947, and had three children. She worked many jobs over the years, including LeCoque the florist, the tree farm nursery, and for many years, Canada Post. She loved camping, fishing and spending many great summers at our camp at Stewart Lake. She will be lovingly remembered by son David (Sally Winters), daughter Glenda (Joe Dettbarn), son Roger and brother Roland (Julie), 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Ronald, father Armand, mother Philomine, brother Roger, and sister Lebea. Cremation has taken place, and a graveside family service will take place at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Thunder Bay Humane Society would be appreciated. We would like to thank all the staff at Sister Leila Greco and Roseview Manor for all the attention and kindness they provided for our Mom. Lillian's great sense of humour and wit was enjoyed by all, right until her final moments. The last thing she would always say was:

"Don't say Goodbye. Say so long."

My fondest childhood memories were the family parties at Aunt Lil´s. The cousins, Aunts and Uncles, Grandparents etc...were full of joy and merriment. Singing , dancing and playing party games were all the order of the day. She loved life and loved her family to the core. Her spirit will always be remembered and cherished. Rest Easy Aunt Lil. Love you.
