Lina Bossio

The family of Lina Bossio announces with sadness, the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother on Sunday, July 3, 2011. She died peacefully with her entire family by her side. Lina was born in Malito, Italy on August 18, 1928. She came to Canada in 1961 residing in Thorold, Ontario where she married Michele Bossio. In 1962 they moved to Port Arthur, Ontario where they raised their four children. Her main interests were her children and grandchildren. She always had a huge smile on her face when her grandchildren came to visit. She always put the needs of her family ahead of her own. Lina enjoyed preparing home cooked meals and baking for family gatherings. She will always be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her children Fortunato, Carmela Prevost, Maria (Geatan) Fournier and Julie (Rick) Sdao; grandchildren Cory and Shannon Prevost, Michael, Christopher and Andrew Fournier and Troy and Amanda Sdao. Also survived by two brothers Ferrucio and Saverio Bentivoglio and two sisters Norena Umbriaco and Dora Bentivoglio. She was predeceased by her parents Alfredo and Giovanna Bentivoglio, her husband Michele Bossio and a sister Marietta Maio in Italy. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Lina Bossio will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 leaving the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma at 8:50 AM to St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening after 6:00 PM in the EVEREST CHAPEL with Vigil Prayers being offered at 8:00PM.
